Subject: In Summary
I'm glad that I posted the messages I did this morning. The Linux Nuts promptly repeated their lies, and sort of proved my point for me. They see this whole thing as a propaganda war, and they admit to no weekness in Linux. In the real propaganda war, Microsoft is much more truthful than the Linux side. In their morbid hatred for Microsoft, and their insane zeal to gain new uses for their substandard software, the Linux supporters elevated FUD to a new art form.
Some Nuts parade my old statements to show the disparity. (One Nut chose a nym that looks almost the same as mine - they have to resort to all kinds of tricks to subvert the discussion to personal insults!)
Those statements were made when I was in the Linux cult. I was simply repeating the cult propaganda.
So what if Windows users have to spend a little money, and a little time to care for their PC. They have an incredibly useful and easy-to-use device as a result. If they switch to Linux desktop, they will be spending virtually *all* their time fixing their PC to do some trivial thing. Windows is a much better bargain.
I was a victim of Linux cult propaganda when I was using Windows 98. Operating under the fear and doubt generated by the propaganda, I myself took all the joy out of using the computer. Trying out Windows XP after years of Linux was a real eye-opener. It brought the lies of the Linux liars into sharp focus. It was then that I first appreciated how the propaganda machine works, and how it victimized me the first time around.
