SCO *has* to win. They are in the right, here.

Besides, how likely is it that both judges are in IBM's pocket or under Loon threats?

As the SLT article says, much of the code produced in evidence is under seal. Explains why the Loons are trying to rile Biff up. They are hoping to extract file names and line numbers out of Biff, so they can erase the incriminating evidence.
